The Keith Continuous Wool Hydrolyser breaks down wool adhering to sheep heads, feet and skin pieces prior to rendering. The Hydrolysing is achieved by immersing the wooly material in a heated caustic bath. The temperature, caustic concentration and holding time are automatically controlled to maintain the correct degree of hydrolysation.

The Hydrolyser has proven to be particularly effective when used in conjunction with Keith Engineering rendering plants by significantly reducing fiber in meat and bone meal.
