ULTRABLOOD PROCESS

FOR CONTINUOUSLY COAGULATING DEWATERING AND DRYING RAW BLOOD

How it works….

The Ultrablood system of continuously coagulating and dewatering  raw blood is fast, because
Up to 4000 kg's. Of blood may be processed an hour, and economical because it requires less time, less space, less manpower and considerably less steam consumption compared with conventional blood cooker operations.

Because coagulation and dewatering is fast, a better product is obtained with higher protein content and, because of the efficiency of the centrifuge, profitable solids are not washed down the drain with the effluent. The efficient  dewatering assures further economies in the final drying cycle because less heat is required.

OPERATION: Raw blood is pumped directly from the blood storage tank by a variable speed positive feed pump which meters the required feed rate to the continuous coagulator. The temperature is regulated to permit quick coagulation and allow for maximum recovery of valuable solids

The coagulated solids are separated in the horizontal decanter Centrifuge and pass to the drying cycle, while the water is discharged  through adjustable discharge ports and fed directly to the drain: only trace quantities of blood solids pass into the plant effluent system.

The final cycle including grinding, conveying and heat producing is continuously performed by the Keith Ring Dryer.
